The Foundation proudly supports local programs such as GAIT, which combines the joy of horses and hippotherapy, a form of treatment for movement dysfunction using multidimensional movement of horses to improve balance, posture, mobility and possibly cognitive, psychological, behavioral and communication functions for clients. The Foundation helps to provide the opportunity for the otherwise unresponsive special-needs individual to participate in activities that can become key to unlocking their world. Longtime supporters and underwriters of the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD), the Foundation continues to provide funding for programs adapted to the special needs of children. Swim classes with individualized instruction and adult dance classes are a few of the ways that programs are custom designed to meet the needs of each person.
